Here is an excellent William J Walley Pottery leaf decorated vase. Glaze which highlights the eight hand tooled leaves. Walley vases with carved and tooled decoration are rare. He used a wide variety of glazes, more than the Grueby or. Potteries to whom his work is often compared.

The pottery was located in West Sterling Massachusetts where he began in 1898, making everything by hand. It measures 7 3/4 inches tall and 5 5/8 inches in diameter at the widest. It is in great condition with only a tiny, barely noticeable glaze chip to the rim, and no other. Chips, cracks, repairs, or firing flaws.
