Beautiful RARE Antique William J. Walley pottery discover in Connecticut, just a few hours from where William J Walley lived!

6.5 Tall X 14 inches around the widest area /most bulbous area of the vase(circumference). The spout is 3 inches from one end to the next. The bottom is 3 inches across. It has a nice weight to it.

This is a fantastic example of Walley Pottery. Label Small "S" stamped on the bottom.

There is still the original paper label which is now faded with age. WJW pieces are highly sought after and is part of the early Arts and Craft movement.

He used a wide variety of glazes, more than the Grueby or Merrimac potteries to which his work is often compared to. The pottery studio was located in West Sterling Massachusetts where he began his work in 1898, He died in 1919.
