Wheatley Pottery matte Grueby green spiral wave design vase Arts & Crafts

  

Here is a very nice Wheatley Pottery vase with a spiral wave design above a corseted band around the widest part. Made in Cincinnati Ohio between 1903 and 1927, its glaze is similar to Grueby, a dark matte green. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or firing flaws, just one stilt mark at the bottom edge. It measures 4 1/4 inches tall and 6 3/4 inches in diameter at the widest point. A good form with a matte green glaze from an Ohio Arts & Crafts art pottery.
