Here is a very nice Weller Pottery. Luster glazed plate by Jacques Sicard, a student of the French artist Clement Massier. It has an all over design of vines, curlicues, and arching flowers, probably daises.
Made in Zanesville Ohio around 1905. It measures 10 5/8 inches in diameter and about an inch high.
It is in excellent condition with only a few tiny bubbles and scratches, and no chips, cracks, firing flaws, or repairs. A heavy plate, it weighs almost 3 lbs. Signed Sicard Weller on the back. A beautiful example of Sicard's artistry at Weller. The item "Weller Pottery Sicard 10.5 plate iridescent luster rococo daisy Arts & Crafts" is in sale since Wednesday, September 15, 2021.
