This is a very nice 6.5 inch tall by 10 inch across pottery vase-pot made by the actor Donald Sutherland. Signed on the bottom with other markings, maybe the Maine studio he pottered in.

There are no chips or cracks in this piece, nice solid pot made by an interesting man. Sutherland, the actor, is also known for his work in studio pottery, specifically mid-century stoneware and ceramics. He is recognized within the studio pottery movement for his unique, handcrafted pieces, which often feature simple, organic forms. His pottery, particularly stoneware, gained popularity during the mid-20th century.
