Vintage Rookwood Pottery Arts & Crafts Cabinet Vase XXVI 1926 #2811 Mulberry

  
This piece has an arts-and-crafts design of a gracefully-tapering, paneled form with a small floral motif encircling the neck of the vase at five points. This piece is in excellent condition with very-minor glaze skips and some slight scuffing and stray marks from gentle use. There are no chips, no cracks, light overall crazing, and no repairs. This cabinet vase has lots of Mission-style character -- a perfect example of arts-and-crafts design.

The piece is almost 4-1/2" tall, 3-1/2" wide at the body, and 2 wide at the rim opening. The pentagonal base of the pottery is stamped with the Rookwood Pottery flame mark, the shape number 2811 and the production year XXVI (1926). This gorgeous glaze combination is a matte mulberry underglaze with a curdled green overspray. This vase is very clean both inside and out with only light mineral deposits inside.
