Vintage 1930s Arts & Crafts style Roseville Earlam square-top deep bowl with handles. Blue-green mottled matte glaze on the exterior and a mottled tan and cream interior glaze. Hand-written "217" mark on the underside. This likely would have originally had a paper Roseville label, but it is long gone. The bowl measures a little over 4" tall by about 8" square on the top.

The bowl has 2 handles and tapers down to a round bottom that is a little over 3 in diameter. To my eye the style of the handles and squared top give the bowl an Asian-inspired look. Very good to excellent condition. All I could find was one very tight, almost microscopic hairline on the rim (very minor, but see last picture).

Pattern Description from the internet: Earlam is a middle period pattern introduced by Roseville Pottery in 1930. Standard colors included mottled matte green/tan or tan/purple. Earlam has both an Arts and Crafts design and an Early American appearance, making it appealing to a wide variety of collectors. There are 23 shapes, including strawberry jars, vases, bowls, flower blocks, baskets, candlesticks, and wall pockets. Earlam was originally marked with paper labels, and some examples have a hand-written shape number.
