Dated 1904, this early Van Briggle Pottery vase stands 4.75" tall, 4.25" wide, and has a rim opening of 2.25. Glazed in a matte, mottled, light green color, it is decorated with a repeating pattern of Spiderworts that are highlighted in a goldish-brown. In factory original condition there are no cracks, chips, hairlines, or repairs. Marked on the base with the Van Briggle conjoined AA, Van Briggle, 1904, and shape number 159.
This same vase is listed on page 41 in the Van Briggle Pottery The Early Years book. A wonderful decorated early vase from Colorado Springs and a very nice addition to your collection.
