Sweet Antique Rookwood Pottery Arts & Crafts Mini Cabinet Vase XXIV 1924 #2097

  
This arts-and-crafts piece has a motif of swans swimming around the shoulder of the vase. The piece is in excellent condition with no chips, no cracks, no crazing and no repairs. The vase is 3-1/2" tall, 4" wide at the round body, and 2-1/2 wide at the collared rim. The base of the pottery is stamped with the Rookwood Pottery flame mark, the shape number 2097 and the production year XXIV (1924). Stilt marks are just visible. This gorgeous glaze combination is a matte, pale-yellow underglaze with a rosy-pink overdrip that gives the piece a beautiful and unusual peachy "glow". Glaze drips are visible on the piece as well as very tiny glaze pinholes. The vase is very clean but has areas of stray marks both inside and out from gentle use. Check out all 9 photos!
