For sale today we have this superb and seldom seen Bookend by the Compton Potters' Art Guild. A gorgeous examples of Arts & Crafts.

Pottery to a design by Mary Seton Watts. The bookend features a well potted design of a fully armoured St George, complete with halo, lancing the large scaly Dragon beneath him. Over the years, I have been very lucky to have had 2 other examples of this bookend, and this one is by far the most detailed and best decorated. Unmarked as is usual for this model, pierced to the base to help in the firing process.

In very good condition, just some light paint wear as is expected with these unfired tempera decorated pieces.
