This is a very large and powerful Ruskin Pottery high fired vase having a sang de boeuf glaze. It is a classic Ruskin Pottery late shape, which a good glaze having depth and lots of spotting markings and curtaining. It is finely thrown and thinly potted, possibly hence why the word'thin' is incised into the base of the wet clay, along with a W. This piece is fully marked and in very good condition - there are three areas where the glaze hasn't taken to the body of the pot very well. This can be seen in the images.
