Circa 1905, this Roseville Pottery Rozane Ware Egypto Ewer, shape number E51, stands 12" tall, is almost 3" across at the rim and is 5 in diameter. Finished in a very pretty matte green glaze, darker green-black highlights, handled, it is decorated with eight long panels. At one time this pitcher was made into a lamp.
As can be seen in our pictures, it has a non-factory drill hole to the under base, another drill hole at the side (where the cord would come thru) and a very small chip to the under base foot ring. Marks include a partial Roseville Egypto wafer and the same shape can be seen on pages 297 and 299 in Roseville In All Its Splendor. A very nice Arts and Crafts Roseville Egypto vase to add to your pottery collection. If you have any questions, please contact me here or at Barbara Gerr Antiques. Any white spots, reflections, shadows, or lines are from the lights and not in the glaze. We hope that you enjoy viewing our selection of pottery in the store.
