Rookwood Pottery Rarely Seen Arts & Crafts, Architectural Faience Tile

A stylized, geometric pattern alternating in bands of orange, Olive and Dark Green Semi-Gloss Glaze is the central design feature of this Six X Six-inch decorative tile from Rookwoods Architectural Faience Department. Uncrazed, the tile appears never to have been installed so the damage it has suffered is limited to a few tiny chips at sides and corners; nothing like what usually occurs post-installation during long-standing exposure to the elements and/or the public. Identifying marks stamped into the reverse side of the tile: Rookwood Faience and the Shape Number 3102Y. Thank you in advance for considering these outstanding pieces of American art pottery.
