Here is a beautiful Rookwood Pottery scenic landscape vellum glaze plaque titled In the Rockies by Elizabeth McDermott. Titled with the original label and frame. It depicts pine trees along the snowy banks of a river with a big mountain in the distance in a blue, green, white, and gray scene and a pink and blue sky.

The porcelain plaque measures 11 inches x 8 3/4 inches, framed 15 1/2 x 13 1/4. Signed with the artist's cypher on the face and on the back with the RP die-stamp and XIX for 1919. An excellent example of an arts & crafts Rookwood vellum plaque, well painted and with good color, it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, firing flaws, or repairs and only moderate crazing.
