Here is a very nice Rookwood Pottery matte vellum vase decorated by Carrie Steinle. It has a spray of grapes, leaves and vines decorating the flaring form in bluish grays and greens. It measures 7 inches tall and 3 3/8 inches in diameter at the widest. Marked with the RP die-stamp, IX for 1909, shape # 1357E, V. For vellum and a con-joined CS for the artist.

It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs, just a little froth to the vellum over the grapes, some peppering inside, and only the typical crazing.
