Here is an exceptionally beautiful Rookwood Pottery iris glaze vase decorated by top rated artist Ed Diers. It has swirling design of white daises and green stems against a shaded brown to green ground on a baluster form. It measures 10 1/2 inches tall and 4 3/8 inches in diameter at the widest. Marked with the RP die-stamp, IX for 1909, shape #1667, a "W" for white clay, the Iris glaze designation, and a con-joined ED for the artist.

It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, firing flaws, or repairs, and only the typical crazing. A nice early piece of Rookwood's floral artistry in arts & crafts pottery on a good form.
