Here is a very nice Rookwood Pottery scenic vellum landscape matte vase decorated by Ed Diers. The baluster form has a blue green and gray banded scene of trees and pond with distant hills. It measures 10 3/4 inches tall and 4 1/2 inches in diameter at the widest.
Marked with the RP die-stamp, X for 1910, shape number 1667, V for vellum, a con-joined ED for artist Ed Diers. There is a wheel ground with an x for glaze scaling at the rim which has been professionally restored. There is no other damage, no chips or cracks, and only the typical amount of crazing.
