Dated 1917, this Rookwood Pottery low-bowl, shape number 2162, stands 3" tall, has an inside rim opening of 4.75" and is 8 in diameter. Designed by Albert Cyrus Monson, finished in a very pretty matte blue glaze, it is decorated with an incised band of Arts and Crafts symbols, and sits on four small feet. In factory original condition, there are no chips, cracks, hairlines, or repairs. Marks include the Rookwood Pottery RP factory logo, flames, XVII (1917) and 2162 (shape). A very nice Rookwood vase to add to your pottery collection.
If you have any questions, please contact me here or at Barbara Gerr Antiques. Any white spots, reflections, shadows, or lines are from the lights and not in the glaze.
