Featured in this listing is an antique Rookwood Pottery footed cabinet bowl. This piece has a round, squat shape with an arts-and-crafts design including a motif of lotus blooms encircling the shoulder. This little cabinet gem is 2-3/4" tall, 4-1/4" wide at the mouth, and 6-1/4 wide at the shoulder.
The base of the pottery is stamped with the Rookwood Pottery flame mark, the shape number 1351 and the production year XVI (1916). This little bowl has four feet with stilt marks visible on the feet. This beautiful glaze is a rich, matte mauve or darker-pink drip underglaze with a green overspray that has curdled beautifully on the piece. The bowl is very clean both inside and out and is presumed to have been gently used. This magnificent little cabinet bowl would be perfect for any Rookwood or American art pottery collector.
