Rare C. 1930 Rookwood Pottery Wax Matte Vase John W. Pullman #1929 Arts & Crafts
1930 ROOKWOOD POTTERY WAX MATTE VASE JOHN W. PULLMAN #1929 ARTS & CRAFTS. It was decorated by John Wesley Pullman C. 1930 in a wide variety of colors on a beige ground with a redish brown interior.
Pullman's work is not often seen as he only worked at Rookwood from 1926 until his death in 1931. Marks include the RP die-stamped mark, XXX i believe for 1930, shape number 1929, and the artist mark, a conjoined JWP. I believe the finish is considered a. Wax matte or double vellum. This would be an outstanding piece of Rookwood Pottery to add to your collection!
