Here is a very nice set of 4 Saturday Evening Girl's, Paul Revere Pottery cups and saucers. They each have a landscape medallion with green trees, a lake, and a yellow sunset or sunrise sky. The cup bodys and saucers are banded in two-tone blue. Family provenance is as follows: this is from a set made by Lilly Shapiro for her friend Lillian (Levin) Lewis, sister of Stella (Levin) Kaye (who also received a dinner set on the occasion of her marriage) in the 1920s.
They are in great condition with only a hairline to one saucer and no other chips, cracks, repairs or firing flaws. The saucers measure about 5 3/4 inches in diameter, the cup, 3 7/8 inches. Together they are about 2 1/2 inches high. In 1923 the name Paul Revere Pottery was incorporated and after that date pieces were marked with a die-stamped seal, or the ink-stamp like these are.
