Here is a very nice Pisgah Forest Pottery vase with their famous jasper ware cameo technique. Begun Arden North Carolina by Walter B Stephen, formerly of the Nonconnah Pottery. This vase depicts in great detail a covered wagon drawn by oxen, horse and riders, the driver with whip, a dog and birds in a landscape in white slip against a cobalt matte blue ground with celadon blue green below. Initialed in the design W.

It measures 8 1/4 inches tall and 5 inches in diameter at the widest point of the baluster form. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, or firing flaws. Signed on the bottom Pisgah Forest with the raised potter at the wheel and 1941. A beautiful piece of hand thrown and decorated Southern pottery.
