Here is a very nice "mission ware" swirl vase probably by the Niloak Pottery in a baluster form. It has blue, white, brick red, olive green, and brown clay colors with good contrast.
The interior is glazed with clear gloss. In 1909 or 1910, in Benton Arkansas, Charles Hyten developed this swirled hand thrown artware in which the clay colors were carefully planned in relationship to each other.
This vase is unmarked, so it is possible that it is by one of the other swirl potteries like Ouachita, Ozark, or Evans. It measures 5 1/2 inches in tall and 3 3/8 inches in diameter at the widest. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, or firing flaws. A good piece of southern swirl pottery. The item "Niloak Pottery Mission ware matte blue green swirl arts & crafts southern vase" is in sale since Tuesday, April 4, 2017.
