Here is a very nice Newcomb College Pottery scenic landscape vase in their signature matte glazed moss draped oak tree design with a full moon peeking through. It is well carved with good contrast and color. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or firing flaws. It measures 3 1/8 inches tall and 4 7/8 inches in diameter. Well marked with the firms die-stamped NC mark, a con-joined JH for potter Jonathon Hunt, a con-joined SI for decorator Sadie Irvine and date code SP1, the first piece made for this date code in 1930.
