Here is a beautiful Newcomb College Pottery transitional vase decorated from top to bottom with morning glory flowers, leaves, and vines on a tall bulbous bottom form. Carved by Henrietta Bailey and glazed in their matte blue and green glazes with yellow centered white flowers and good relief and contrast. It measures 9 inches tall and 5 inches in diameter at the widest. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, firing flaws, or repairs. Marked with the firm's die-stamped NC mark, a conjoined HB.

For the potter Joseph Meyer. And date code FW39 for 1913 among other marks. A fine example of the quintessential southern Arts & Crafts art pottery.
