LAURIE SHAMAN LANDSCAPE ART VASE. This listing features a decorative vessel by American artist, Laurie Shaman.

Based in Chicago, she is originally known for her porcelain wall work but later added objets like this vase to her portfolio. Shaman's work incorporates original imagery with various glazes to evoke classical and contemporary sensibilities. It measures 7 1/4 inches tall by 4 inches in diameter at the rim. This is a wheel thrown ceramic piece with circular impressions from top to bottom. The exterior is completely hand drawn and painted, using earth colored stains, black ink, and layered glazes.

The interior is completely glazed in dark grey and waterproof. This vessel is also hand inscribed underneath by the artist, "Shaman", in script. It can serve its next owner in various ways; a flower vase, a brush pot, a kitchen utensil holder, or simply the work of art it certainly is. Not only is it waterproof, all of Ms.

Shaman's glazes are non-toxic. With this vase, we see two of the artist's favorite subjects, a tall European cityscape set against a body of water and moody sky.
