Rare original old San Jose Mission Pottery tile, Native American in a canoe. 8 x 8 x 1/2 inch.

Very deep and vivid colors. This tile has outlining around the colored areas which is a similar technique done by Grueby on his pieces. This tile is the rare l arge size which measures 8 x 8 x 1/2 inch.

(there are smaller versions of this tile which were 6 x 6 x 1/2 inch). This tile is in very good condition with no damage. There are a few very light surface lines, probably age lines, in the glaze.
