This moon shape was handmade in our studio and fired to cone 6. With focus on nature and the clay these pieces are made from start to finish individually and by hand, from throwing on the wheel to making glazes and firing. As Toshiko Takaezu's apprentice for two years, these forms were made together with her and have been carried on since then.
