Having an outstanding mottled matte green glaze on a simple shouldered shape this vase is an exemplary example of Arts and Crafts New England pottery. Marked underbase "Hampshire Pottery", the in circle "M", for Emoretta Robertson, and shape number 18/1, there are ink marks that are aftermarket. In factory original condition, there are no cracks, chips, hairlines, or repairs. Made in Keene, NH, Hampshire Pottery has often been compared to Grueby Pottery.
