Grueby Pottery matte green 5 spike leaf sphere vase Arts & Crafts Boston

  

Here is a really wonderful Grueby Pottery sphere vase with five spike grass like leaves under a light matte green glaze. It measures 4 1/8 inches in diameter at the widest point and 3 1/2 inches tall. There are two small rim chips touched up and an in the making glazed over indent on the rim, otherwise in great condition with no cracks or firing flaws.

Illegibly marked with the Grueby Pottery Boston USA die-stamp. A great form with a good glaze from the quintessential Arts & Crafts New England art pottery.
