Here is a really nice Grueby Pottery vase with 7 well tooled leaves around the squat hand thrown form. It is covered in a rich curdled dark matte green glaze which collects over the relief of the leaf edges and thins over the tips. It measures 6 inches tall and 7 inches in diameter at the widest point. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, firing flaws, or repairs. Marked with the earlier Grueby Faience Co Boston USA die-stamp, and shape number 156.
