This lamp base is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. The lamp has been recently rewired with the antique brown rayon cord and a period plug.
There is a factory grinding nick on the bottom underside edge and this is pictured. This was made this way and not after market damage. The lamp base is marked on the underside bottom with Fulper's incised oval Racetrack Mark.
The pottery portion of the lamp is similar to Fulper shape number 425 in their catalog. It was described as a "Oviform 12" tall. I can honestly say that this is a very nice example of this form and glaze from Fulper Pottery.
It is quite heavy as it weighs 12 pounds. This would look Great on that Stickley, Mission, Arts and Crafts style lamp table.
