The vase is in excellent, near-mint condition with no chips, no cracks, no crazing, and no repairs. This piece is 5" tall, 3" wide at the base, and 1-3/4 wide at the top rim opening. The base of the pottery is stamped with the Rookwood Pottery flame mark, the shape number 1825 and the production year XIX (1919). There is an area of missed glaze just inside around the throat of the vase; however, the glaze continues inside to the bottom where it has dripped and pooled.
The vase features a tapered cylindrical form with an arts-and-crafts floral motif encircling the piece. This gorgeous glaze is a matte, pale seafoam blue-green underglaze with a very faint pink or dusty rose overdrip. The pastel colors really enhance the mold detail. The vase has been gently used with some very-minor staining inside but is otherwise very clean. Check out all 9 photos! This gorgeous vase would look amazing in your favorite display cabinet. It would also be perfect for any Rookwood or American art pottery collector.
