Best Antique Arts & Crafts Aesthetic Period HP Pottery Dresser Jug Pitcher
Jewelry: 1910 - 1939 Art Deco. BEST ANTIQUE ARTS & CRAFTS AESTHETIC PERIOD HP POTTERY DRESSER JUG PITCHER. Offered here is an antique hand painted pottery jug/pitcher in the Arts & Crafts , Art Nouveau and Aesthetic Period motif. Interestly enough the piece used to be part of an antique toilet set. Features waterlily flowers, flower buds, and leaves rising out of a river. A small spider web hangs over a slendid pink bloom. The gold paint is raised when applied on different areas such as the slender reed like leaves and buds.
Not signed except for a number: X1723 hand written in gold. Two tone colors: white and cream. Interesting and rare as the artist wanted to mix the design styles that were all the rage at that time. Measures approximately 7 1/2" wide and 7 1/2" high. Item is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips.
Some crazing does exist which we feel helps to make the piece look the antique that it is!
