ARTS & CRAFTS STYLE MATTE GREEN LIFE SIZE POTTERY DETAILED HUMAN SKULL. This listing is for a gorgeous very detailed pottery skull. A fairly clean one with uniform glaze. It blends the gap between medical curiosities and pottery. It would look great under a glass dome. This is a life size piece. Made slightly smaller than a full grown adult, it measures approx. 5-5/8" tall by 4-3/4 across by 6-1/4" deep. It is a hollow molded piece of pottery and it is very life like. It is covered in a stunning arts & crafts mottled matte green glaze. Photo lights make it look a little lighter and darker in color than what it is. Some minor light tonal color around nasal passage and left cheek bone and spots on bottom where it sat when fired. Great displayed in a library, conservatory or in many other settings to invoke conversation. It is exemplary to a Rookwood glaze or similar American art pottery companies of that time period. No cracks, no chips, no breaks and no repairs. It is a hollow molded piece of pottery with some impressed markings that look like the number "10". This is the one you will receive.
