#13 FAIENCERIE THULIN BELGIUM ART VASE. This listing features one of many pieces in a large collection of vases, urns, bowls and pots made in Belgium that belonged to my grandmother. I inherited her estate which has been in storage for many years.

Each of these vessels is absolutely beautiful and in terrific condition. It's a vase that's hard to miss measuring approximately 13 inches tall by 5 3/4 inches wide, from handle to handle tip.

It is hand incised and numbered "2169 BELGIUM" underneath, along with a hand written "T" or "7" in black. To my eye this was added much later but is certainly not recent (there are other pieces in the collection similarly marked).

The glaze work and detail on this gorgeous work of art was expertly applied, and built to last, given it's minimal wear considering it's age. What appears to be a long vertical white crack near the base is actually an element of the glazing. Other than this, I see a few tiny paint flecks, dust, some glaze spots and a whole lot of photography flash. Definitely no cracks, chips, repairs or anything else major bad. This beauty could benefit greatly from a mild soap and water cleaning but I always leave matters concerning patina to the new owner. Please inspect the detail photos and feel free to contact me with any questions, or wisdom. These Belgian vases are wonderful in any color combination but this one is just flat out glorious in design and coloration. The glazes are not at all simple to accomplish and I wish my photos could do this work justice. I have no doubt the next owner will be thrilled with this vase. Please check out other uncommon items from my family estate in current listings.
