Antique TWO Zanesville Arts & Crafts Pottery Green Jardiniere Vases. This is an antique, early 1900s to the 1940s, set of two, one large and one medium-sized, Zanesville (Ohio) Pottery Arts & Crafts Vertical Leaves green round Jardiniere vases. The larger one is 6.75" height and 8" round. The smaller vase is 5" height and 6" round. These are both very heavy as Zanesville Pottery pieces tend to be, around 16 pounds for both vases.
The larger one is a sea foam green with a glazed finish, and the medium one is more of a moss green, glazed as well, and the colors compliment each other very well. Given that theses vases have survived intact for almost 100 years is amazing, and based on that, their condition is very good. The smaller vase has two small chips on the paint on the sides, but otherwise excellent. The larger, heavier one has more obvious feet on the bottom, and one of them has come off.
This is mainly only visible when you turn it upside down, and when it's upright, you can see a bit where the foot has broken (see photos). But this can easily be turned around so that that part isn't seen. It can also be touched up with paint, and that would make the pottery exposed less obvious.Overall, these are two amazing antique vases, great for the collector. They are truly beautiful, and look lovely paired together. Please let me know if you have any questions or need more photos.
