Antique Rookwood Pottery Arts Crafts Cabinet Bowl XVII 1917 #2152 Matte Mauve

  
This piece has an arts-and-crafts motif of leaves and berries encircling the rim. The bowl is in excellent, near-mint condition with only light peppering and even, overall crazing in the glaze. There are no chips, no cracks and no repairs. The piece is just over 2" tall, almost 4-3/4" wide at the shoulder, and 3-3/4 wide at the top rim opening. The base of the pottery is stamped with the Rookwood Pottery flame mark, the shape number 2152 and the production year XVII (1917). This gorgeous glaze is a matte mauve or lighter mulberry color that has curdled beautifully on the piece.
