This is a rare pottery lamp in a beautiful jade green color body and gorgeous Arts & Crafts design in the brass. The pottery part of the lamp was likely made by one of the leading potters of the era - perhaps Roseville. The lower part of the lamp is seated on a dark brass, octagonal footed base. The base had been enameled black and has paint wear. The brass socket is original. I see no numbers or maker's marks on the exposed areas of the lamp, and have not taken it apart to check for any. The switch moves, but does not turn the lamp on. This is such a wonderful candidate for restoration! No shade, but would use one that clips onto a bulb. The overall height of the lamp is 12 3/4" tall and it is 4" wide at the base.
The brass has some areas of patina as expected for age and use. The pottery section is excellent with no chips, cracks or crazing seen.
