Antique Pewabic Pottery Carved Vase - Detroit Circa 1915 - Rare - Arts & Crafts. Iridescent Luster Glaze - Signed. Fine Pewabic Pottery vase decorated with an iridescent luster glaze and carved decorations in the Arts and Crafts manner. Signed with the impressed'PEWABIC DETROIT' circular mark on the bottom.

This vase features a hand-thrown body with throwing marks visible, including incised horizontal rings and a stepped, ribbed foot. Decorated with carved designs at the shoulder and a light green under-glaze, covered with an iridescent luster glaze overall.

The vase looks different in every lighting and colorful reflections of light red, purple, gold, and blue appear in the streaky glaze at random. PLEASE NOTE: The vase looks a bit lighter in person and was difficult to photograh. The first photo is most accurate. Excellent condition with no damage or restoration. Mark partially glazed over, but readable. This piece will be a quality addition to any collection of American Art Pottery and will display beautifully in any Midwest, Southwest, Art Nouveau, Stickley Era, Craftsman, or Arts and Crafts decor.
