Antique Arts & Crafts Roseville Large Tan Mostique Vase Shape 23-10, c. 1916

  
An antique Roseville Pottery Mostique vase in the large and difficult to find shape 23-10. This vase features an impressed stylized daffodil flower hand colored with green and white glossy glazes against a highly textured tan matte glaze background. The inside of the vase is covered with a lovely glossy green glaze which matches the glaze used on the upper and lower ridged borders. The bottom is marked 23 for the shape by the artist but there is no Roseville mark, indicating the vase was produced prior to 1923. In excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks. There is a linear impressed defect on the rim which originates from production and crazing of the internal glaze. Dimensions are approximately 10" tall x 7 12" diameter.
