Antique Arts Crafts Mission Usa Matte Green Rookwood Art Pottery Bird Bookends. This is Antique Arts Crafts Mission Usa Matte Sea Blue Rookwood Art Pottery Jay Bird Bluejay Bookends, XXVI 1926 Style 2829, A Hard To Find Pair!
I was quite excited to come by this hard to find pair of Rookwood bookends and will enjoy having them until they meet their new owner! They are in a multi colored blue matt glaze finish and feature bluejays with oak leaves and acorns. I believe that Rookwood called it "Sea Blue". They are properly marked on the bottom, XXVI, 2829, and are circa 1926.Size It is 6" tall and 5 3/4" wide. Condition They are very good, but not perfect. The tip of the top feathers of both of the Blue jays has hits or chips to them.
