For sale today we have this rare Compton pottery Arts and Crafts plaque featuring Sir Galahad questing for the grail. This charming example features a fully armoured Sir Galahad with 2 handed sword leading his horse through.

Framed in a typical Arts & Crafts spade shaped leaf border. Tempera glazed very well to a rich colourway. Unmarked but a known design and featured in Hilary Calvert & Louise Boreham's book on the Compton Pottery.

7 1/2" tall x 4 1/2" wide and in excellent condition. A small nick to the bottom right of the frame looks. To have been tinted in to match.
