1913 ROOKWOOD 5 Vase Unusual Purple Blue Glaze Arts Crafts Design As Is

  
Early 1913 Rookwood vase in unusual, eye catching streaky purple-blue glaze. Crisp Arts & Crafts incised flower design - 3 panels encircle the vase. Measures 5" tall by 3.25" at greatest width. I was looking this base over in VERY bright light and realized it was repaired at the base. There is an area of two small kiln kisses and two small glaze skips and this area took my attention completely away from the repaired portion of the base.

The repaired portion is about 2 along the edge of the base. The glaze has pooled at the bottom and has been ground down so the vase could sit flat. On the opposite side of the repair is a small 1/4 chip in the edge but it is barely visible when displayed. To complete the trifecta and be totally clear, there is a 1/4 line at the rim but it does not continue, does not go through the rim. Please take a look at all the photos!

Normally, I wouldn't list a damaged piece but the color makes up for it. A cool piece that will look good in a cabinet! PLEASE VIEW ALL PHOTOS, they are part of the description!
