Antique Rookwood Art Pottery Bowl Description and Item Information Up for sale is this antique Rookwood pottery bowl or vase. Please excuse the glare in the photos. This piece has a matte green vellum glaze. There are two carved or incised horizontal lines, with two areas of scrolls in between the lines. This piece is approximately 5 7/8 inches wide and 2 1/8 inches tall. Unpacked, it weighs 1 pound 1.4 ounces.

It would be a fine addition to a collection of American art pottery. Identification This antique Incised Mat Rookwood bowl is marked beneath with the RP cipher and flame point mark and "X" which indicates a date of 1910. The shape number is "957" and the size is DD.

" A "V beneath the other markings indicate that this is a vellum glaze. Condition The bowl has no cracks or chips. It has light wear, with a few minor, scattered scuffs / scratches.

There is fine, unstained crazing. There are some minor rust stains inside. Variations in glaze application, such as drips and thicker/thinner areas, are as made. There are teeny tiny glaze bubble pops, as made. Payments must be received within three days of the end of the listing, unless prior arrangements have been made.
