Weller Hudson Mae Timberlake Signed Iris 9+ Arts & Crafts 1920s Pottery Vase. The vase was produced as part of their Hudson line of hand decorated wares introduced in 1917. This piece is beautifully executed with Iris blossoms, buds and foliage wraped around the cylindrical form.
The hand painted glaze shows rich color, fine stylized detail and nice depth against the shaded blue / grey ground. The vase measures 9 1/4" high, 3 3/4" wide and 3 O. The work is signed "Timberlake" (Mae Timberlake) on the base edge.
The piece is also impressed "WELLER" on the base. The vase is in excellent condition with no damage (there is a 1/8 production open bubble on the décor of one petal / pictured). This lovely Mae Timberlake iris vase would make a fine addition to your collection of 1920's Weller Hudson art pottery.
