Vintage Rookwood Pottery Arts & Crafts Cabinet Vase XXIV 1924 #2089 Matte Blue

  
The piece has a classic, geometric arts-and-crafts motif of stylized leaves and buds encircling the vase. This vase is in excellent, near-mint condition with very light peppering and pinholes in the glaze; however, there are no chips, no cracks, no crazing and no repairs. This vase is approximately 4" tall, 3-3/4" wide at the shoulder, and 2 wide at the top rim opening. The base of the pottery is stamped with the Rookwood Pottery flame mark, the shape number 2089 and the production year XXIV (1924). This gorgeous underglaze is a matte, dusty-blue color with a darker blue overdrip that beautifully accentuates the mold detail. There is light scuffing from gentle use; however, the vase is very clean both inside and out. Check out all 8 photos!
