Vintage Rookwood Pottery Arts & Crafts Cabinet Vase XLVI 1946 #6432 Dusty Blue

  

The piece has a classic arts-and-crafts motif of African violets encircling the vase. This vase is in excellent condition with a few glaze skips, drips and glaze misses on the base. There is also a very shallow grinding sliver at the base rim edge as well as visible stilt marks; however, there are no chips, no cracks, no crazing and no repairs. This vase is approximately 3-3/4" tall, 4" wide at the shoulder, and 2-3/4 wide at the top rim opening which is not perfectly round. The base of the pottery is stamped with the Rookwood Pottery flame mark, the shape number 6432 and the production year XLVI (1946).

This gorgeous underglaze is a matte, dusty-blue color with a magnificent, matte sea-green crystalline overdrip that beautifully accentuates the mold detail. There is light scuffing from gentle use; however, the vase is very clean both inside and out. Check out all 8 photos!
