Here is a large and very nice University of North Dakota School of Mines pottery spherical form vase with a deeply carved, all over design depicting two ships at sea, with seagulls, clouds, and waves in matte brown glazes. It measure 8 5/8 inches in diameter at the widest and 6 3/4 inches high. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, or firing flaws. Marked with the firm's circular ink stamp Made at the School of Mines N. The artist's name H Rodningen, and the date Jan'58. A beautiful top to bottom decoration on a great form by UND.
