SWASTIKA KERAMOS, Owen China Co. 1906-1908 Vase, John Lessell. Arts & Crafts

  
Authentic, antique pottery/ceramic, hand decorated vase marked "Swastika Keramos", a division of the Owen China Company, which was produced by that firm in the years 1906 to 1908. The design and decoration is attributed to John Lessell, who had begun his career at the early Arkansas ceramics firm, Camark. After about eight years he moved to Owen China and designed for their Swastika Keramos division for the three years of its existence.

6 " tall and 6 1/2" in diameter. Nicely weighted with three gorgeous handles. This features the swastika design on the bottom with etched "723-L". Please see all the photos taken in various bright light settings to judge the condition you require. Ignore reflection or glare please.

Condition: Good condition with overall wear seen. There are some paint or glaze rubs/scuffs/scratches to the floral decoration which are often found on these pieces, especially the gold ones. There are 4 or 5 areas where the white clay? Shows through but these are NOT chips, just scuffs. There is a scuff on the side near the base.

One handle is cracked but remains affixed. It's still solidly in place and could easily be repaired. No other issues that I see. I'm happy to answer questions. If you are not pleased, talk to us first to resolve any issues!
